PA EMS Agencies Face Nearing Deadline To Apply For COVID-19 Grants
Pennsylvania EMS agencies have a short time to complete online certification making them eligible to receive COVID-19 grant dollars.
HARRISBURG — A state lawmaker is reminding Pennsylvania emergency management agencies that they have until April 10 to complete an online certification process that enables them to tap into COVID-19 grant dollars.
State Sen. Katie Muth, a Montgomery County Democrat, said that EMS agencies across the commonwealth are eligible to receive a portion of the $25 million available from the American Rescue Plan Act, funding that is designed to support emergency medical services companies.
"Throughout the pandemic, EMS workers and our health care professionals have been real-life heroes in our communities. I was proud to support the creation of this grant program to ensure our EMS agencies have the resources necessary to provide these life-saving services," Muth said in a statement.
