Fire in Wayne Avenue Home

According to the Norristown Fire Department, firefighters responded to a report of a fire at sometime after 4pm at a house on Wayne Ave. on Sunday afternoon.

The blaze was contained to a first floor rear room and the fire was under control in under 10 minutes. One firefighter was treated for a finger laceration, but no other injuries were reported as a result of the blaze.

According to , no one was home at the residence at the time of the fire. A young neighbor called 911 to make the report.

Firefighters from East Norriton and Plymouth and Plymouth Community Ambulance assisted the Norristown Fire Department.
