Flood Warning Issued for Montgomery County

Flood warning issued until 2:30 a.m. in Montgomery County.

The National Weather Service has issued a Flood warning for Montgomery County until 2:30 a.m.

A series of severe thunderstorms are currently moving across our region producing rainfall amounts upwards of two inches an hour. The heavy rainfall will cause urban and small stream flooding.

A flood warning means that flooding is imminent or has been reported. Stream rises will be slow and flash flooding is not expected.

It's harder to recognize the dangers of flooding at night, so be especially cautious. Do not underestimate the power of flood waters, even a few inches of rapidly flowing water can carry away your vehicle.
