Former Norristown Lawyer Admits Stealing $87K

Gregory Noonan, 54, already had pleaded guilty to selling oxycodone to an undercover police officer.

A former Norristown lawyer has admitted he stole $87,000 from a client.

Gregory Noonan, 54, of Lansdale pleaded guilty this week to forgery and theft by deception, The Philadelphia Inquirer reported.

The charges stem from a January 2012 incident involving a Bridgeport man, The Times Herald said. Noonan received a settlement check intended for his client, but forged the man’s signature and deposited the funds into his own account, The Times Herald said.

Noonan already was awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty to multiple drug charges, the Inquirer said. Noonan admitted selling an undercover Philadelphia police officer 179 oxycodone pills, the Times Herald said.
