How Did MCCC do on the White House College Scorecard?

The White House recently released the College Scorecard, which looks at loan repayment, costs, graduation rates and more.

After President Obama's State of the Union Address in February, the White House has released the College Scorecard.

According to the WhiteHouse.gov website, "College Scorecards in the U.S. Department of Education’s College Affordability and Transparency Center make it easier for you to search for a college that is a good fit for you."

According to the scorecard, in-state students pay a net price of $7,112 a year to attend MCCC, with campuses in Blue Bell and Pottstown. This is down 4.6% from the 2007 to 2009 costs and considered "low" on the scorecard's scale.

Families typically borrow an average of $8,563 for the undergraduate study at MCCC, with student loan payments of approximately $98.54 a month over 10 years.

However, 13.3% of borrowers who graduate from MCCC default on their Federal student loans, just .1% under the national average.

According to the scorecard, 11.6% of students graduated within 150% of the expected time frame, and 25.8% transferred to another institution.
