Elmwood Park, and Upper Merion Township are planning festivities to celebration Independence Day.
NORRISTOWN, PA — After two years of COVID-related restrictions, cities and counties across the country are set to bring back the traditional July 4 festivities.
Parades, fireworks, carnivals and more are being planned in Norristown and beyond to celebrate the birth of our nation.
You can make it a three-day celebration with these events happening close to your home from Saturday July 2 to Monday, July 4.

Upper Merion Township
- What: Upper Merion’s July 4 Celebration - A Carnival with food trucks
- When: 1 to 10 p.m. Monday, July 4. Live music at 6 p.m.

- What: Concert & Fireworks: activities for children, a beer garden; 4 to 5:30 p.m. Concert by Wildflower; 7 to 8:30 p.m. concert by Deja Groove Party Band, and then fireworks
- When: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the zoo and noon to dusk at the park, Monday July 4

- Where: Narberth Park, 80 Windsor Ave., Narberth
- When: July 4, 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., carnival; 7:15 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., concert and fireworks
Phoenixville Borough
- What: Phoenixville Annual Fireworks
- Where: Friendship Field, Fillmore Street & Franklin Avenue.
- When: 9:15 p.m. Saturday, July 2.

- What: Independence Celebration at Historic Waynesboro.
- Where: 2049 Waynesborough Road, Paoli.
- When: noon to 3 p.m Sunday, June 3. Pennsylvania Society of Sons of Revolution will present a color guard.

- What: Tredyffrin Township 4th of July Celebration
- Where: Wilson Park, 500 Lee Road, Chesterbrook
- When: July 4, 7:15 p.m. to 9:15 p.m.
