Lil Gambone Retires From Municipality
The 18-year veteran of Planning Department is stepping down to spend more time with her family.
Last Tuesday, June 5, Norristown Municipal Council honored Lillian Gambone, longtime administrative secretary to the director of Planning and Development, with a resolution for her 18 years of dedication and service to the Municipality of Norristown. Gambone is retiring on Friday, June 15.
Members of Gambone's family were on hand to hear Council President Gary Simpson read the resolution which praised her for her willingness to take on extra work and fierce loyalty to her department.
"Lilian is known as the backbone and anchor of the Planning and Zoning Department," the resolution read. IT also noted that she will be missed by her felow workers.
