Local Man Going to Prison For Smuggling Pot and Cigarettes Into Court
Bruce Woods Sr., 45, pleaded guilty to attempting to pass the contraband to his son who was in court for drug and firearm charges.

According to The Times Herald, a Norristown man is headed to prison after he admitted to smuggling marijuana and cigarettes into District Court and leaving them in the bathroom for his son, who was in court on drug and firearm charges.
Bruce Woods Sr. was sentenced to two to four years for stashing the contraband in the court bathroom for Bruce Kenneth Woods Jr., 27, who is currently waiting to stand trial for the murder of 34-year-old Tyree Whiting on Oct. 19, 2010.
Detectives discovered the plan after leaving a cellphone in with the inmates at Montgomery County Correctional Facility and listening in on conversations between the younger Woods, his father and another inmate.
