Looking for a Little Romance This Weekend?

Making plans with your sweetie for Valentine's Day? A few of you and noted you had some pretty romantic plans laid out. For those of you that are still searching for something special, or maybe you want to do a little pre-gaming, there are a couple of events happening this weekend to get you in the mood. There's even one next weekend if you drop the ball on the big day.

Everyone's talking about this annual event at the . Last year's shindig – a fancy formal affair – was a big hit, but the zoo is lightening things up for this year's party. Guests will mingle as they sample the light fare from the raw oyster bar, the hors d'oeuvres trays and the carving stations as well as hit up the open bar. There will also be dancing to live music, courtesy of Plus Three and Company. On top of it all, party-goers will get an earful of how the animals go about the business of the birds and the bees thanks to the zoo's educator, Sam Navarino.

Want to engage in some adult activities, but don't have a sitter? The is coming to your rescue.

Once again, the center is holding a Valentine's Dance Party this Saturday, Feb. 11, from 6 to 9 p.m. Children ages 2 to 10 are invited to swing by for dancing, karaoke, craft making, snacks and plenty of fun with plenty of adult supervision. While the kids get down, the adults can sneak off for a few hours of peace and quiet.

The Greater Norristown Hispanic Business Association's Valentine's Love Fest

Coming a little late to the party? If you don't have proper plans for Valentine's Day and need to do a make-up next weekend, the Greater Norristown Hispanic Business Association has you covered. The GNHBA is holding what it hopes will be the first annual Valentine’s Love Fest, complete with great food, music and entertainment for all.
