Man Airlifted After Falling Down Embankment at Stanbridge and Jackson

Crews from the Norristown Fire Department were on the scene of Stanbridge and Jackson streets early Sunday evening, after a man reportedly fell down an embankment near the bike trails.

Emergency responders were initially deployed to the area at 6:20 p.m., for a report of a man who fell down a 15 foot embankment, according to sources. Following a nearly one-hour rescue, the victim was taken to the Norristown State Hospital, where he was transferred to an awaiting medevac.

The victim was listed as unresponsive at the time of the medevac, and his identity has not been released.
