Man Escapes Home Invasion at Knife Point
The victim was able to break free from his attacker and call police from a neighbor's house.

According to a report from the Norristown Police Department, officers responded to a home in the 600 block of Kohn Street at approximately 10:40 a.m. on Thursday for a report of a possible burglary.
On arrival, the victim told police he had been in a second floor bedroom of the residence watching TV when he heard a knock on his bedroom door. As he stood to answer the door, a black male, described as approximately 5'8" tall and in his 20s or 30s, kicked in the door and attacked him.
According to the victim, the suspect, armed with a pocket knife, forced him to the floor and placed the point of the blade at the back of his neck as the victim lay face down. However, the victim was able to break free and fled the house, calling police from a neighbor's home. The victim told police he witnessed the suspect picking up his wallet from the floor as he fled and that the suspect was not wearing gloves.

Police searched the residence, finding the wallet and placing it into evidence. According to the report, officers also observed that the bedroom appeared to be ransacked. An air-conditioning unit was found on the floor in front of a rear porch window believed to be the suspects entry point. The victim states the unit was in the window and appeared to be forced in from the outside.
The victim states that $30 was removed from his wallet, and no other items were reported missing.
