'Miniature Cows' Arrive At Elmwood Park Zoo In Norristown
The zoo's newest residents are a pair of five-month-olds.

NORRISTOWN, PA — Elmwood Park Zoo has a few new residents shacking up in Norristown.
A pair of Miniature Highland cows have arrived at the zoo, the first that Elmwood has ever had.
Both are five months old, and while both are Miniature cows, they are of slightly different breeds: the brown cow is a Miniature Scottish Highland breed, while the spotted cow is a Miniature HighPark breed.

Elmwood shared a recent video of the pair settling into their new home.
Known for their gentle demeanors and strength, both breeds of the Miniature cow are native to Scotland.

Both cows came from Jason Charles LLC, a horse trainer in York County, the zoo said.
