Montco Coronavirus: 8,619 Cases, 811 Deaths As Of Monday

Six walk-up testing sites opened Monday in Montgomery County.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — Although the Montgomery County Community College testing site shut down last Tuesday, six walk-up sites opened Monday for those hoping to get tested for the new coronavirus.

"This change has been anticipated, and the county has been planning for this transition," Montgomery County Commisioner Val Arkoosh said in a statement last week.

Arkoosh noted that the change to walk-up sites was made "based on resident feedback."
Additionally, the existing community testing sites in Norristown and Pottstown, which will be closed for the rest of this week, will reopen on Monday, July 6.
