Montco Jail Escapee is Back Inside After Alleged Threats and Burglary, Say Police
The Philadelphia man's bail is set for $20,000.

A Philadelphia man who escaped from a Montgomery county prison has returned to that prison after Norristown police officers investigated a complaint that he broke into a Norristown home and threatened people inside, according to a police report.
Norristown police officers were sent to the 500 block of Astor Street on Nov. 24 around 1:33 a.m. to see about an alleged disturbance at a home. The suspect in question, Gary King, was wanted for escaping the Montgomery County Correctional Facility, where he had been incarcerated due to a violation of a Protection from Abuse Order, according to a Norristown police report.
According to court documents, which indicate that King resides in Philadelphia, he escaped from the prison on July 30 of this year.

Police spoke with a woman from the home who said that King had woken her and her boyfriend after entering the home by breaking a window, according to the police report. The woman said that King had threatened to shoot the two. Police were told that the woman called 911 and King took her ATM card, her ID and her Access card out of her purse before he left.
The woman told police that there were other incidents the day before that she had told police about, say police. She said that everyone in the home is fearful for their lives.

According to court documents King is charged with terroristic threats with the intent to terrorize another, burglary – overnight accommodation with person present, false identification to a law enforcement officer and other charges.
According to court documents King was incarcerated on Monday in the Montgomery County Correctional Facility, unable to post his $20,000 bail. He is still listed as being in custody as of Tuesday evening.
