Montgomery County Named 3rd Top County For Retirement In Pennsylvania
Montgomery County was listed number three out of 25 Pennsylvania counties in a list compiled by Stacker on best places to retire in PA.
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — Data journalism site Stacker has compiled a list of the top Pennsylvania counties in which to retire, and Montgomery County has come in at Number 3.
Neighboring Delaware County ranked in at Number 12 while Bucks County, which is also included in the five-county Greater Philadelphia region, also cracked the top 25, coming in at Number 21.
Chester County, which is also considered a member of the five-county region, did not make the cut in the top 25. A possible reason could be the tax-rate: Chester County is known as having some of the highest property taxes in all of Pennsylvania.
