"This means that conditions are favorable for tornadoes to develop," the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety said. "If a warning is issued, take immediate action! Go to a basement (best option) or an interior room away from windows and doors. Protect yourself in any way that you can by using blankets, mattresses, and/or helmets."

"If you're outside, seek shelter in a sturdy building immediately," they added. If you can't find one, lie down on the ground and cover your head and neck with your arms and hands."If you're on the road, drive to the closest sturdy building and take shelter inside. If you can't get to a building, park and get down as low as possible in the vehicle. Cover your head and neck with your arms and hands."
