New HS Athletic Complex to Host Inaugural Game on Saturday
Norristown Area High School's new athletic complex will host its first home football game on Sept. 22.
According to The Times Herald, the new Eagles will be breaking in the new Norristown Area High School Athletic Complex with a home game against the Upper Merion Vikings on Saturday, Sept. 22 at 1 p.m. Tickets are only $3 for students and $5 for adults.
Work on the complex is still underway and it still needs a concession stand and ticket booth, restrooms, bleachers, a sound system and lights (hence the 1 p.m. game time.) There's some temporary seating around the field, and the district is inviting spectators to BYOC (Bring Your Own Chair) in the meantime.
The Herald chronicles the long, arduous road the athletic complex's realization and the district's continuing fundraising efforts to complete the project in a recent article. Read more about it here.
