New Sonic on Swede Road Now Hiring
The new Sonic restaurant in Swedes Shopping Center is looking to fill approximately 80 to 100 positions and is taking applications now.
Sonic, "America’s Drive-In," is planning on opening the first Norristown-area franchise in Swede Square Shopping Center early next year.
Sonic specializes in made-to-order fast food and is known for their foot-long quarter pound coneys (hotdogs with chili and cheese) and their 398,929 drink combinations.
According to a press release, the new Norristown location is now hiring to fill approximately 80 to 100 full and part-time positions, such as shift leaders, crew members and Sonic’s signature skating carhops.

“SONIC stands for opportunity, which includes career opportunity and the opportunity for our employees to have personal and professional growth,” Don Welsh, franchisee of the Norristown SONIC Drive-In, said in the release. “We’re excited to open the first Norristown SONIC and look forward to hiring great employees for our SONIC team.”

Local Sonic representatives will be taking applications from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
