Nominate a Local Champion of Open Government
Norristown Patch is participating in Sunshine Week, a national initiative to promote the importance of open government and freedom of information.

Do you know someone in Norristown who has championed transparency in local government? Norristown Patch is participating in Sunshine Week 2012, starting March 11, by promoting the Sunshine Week organization’s national "Local Heroes" contest. We’ll also be talking up, covering and talking with you about open government and freedom of information during that week so stay tuned.
This week we want to kick that conversation off with a call to action – we want you to nominate local open government champions who have played a significant role fighting for local government transparency.
The deadline for nominations is Wednesday, March 7, so put this on your To Do list right away. The winner will be honored at the American Society of News Editors' annual convention in Washington, D.C., April 2-4. Here’s a link to the Sunshine Week nomination form:
