Norristown Council Makes Plea For Reinstatement of County Funds
Council members are attending today's county commissioners' meeting to argue against cutting funds to Norristown.

As previously reported on Norristown Patch, the . Included in those cuts are a $266,300 appropriation for Norristown.
Members of Norristown Council are attending today's public budget hearing at the Montgomery County Commissioners' meeting at the to ask the the county to return several of its properties (like One Montgomery Plaza, the and the ) to the tax rolls. Those properties currently do not pay property taxes in Norristown.
The $266,300 appropriation for Norristown was meant to offset the loss (which is actually in the millions) and council is requesting the commissioners rethink the cut.
