Norristown Man Charged in Kidnap Attempt

A Norristown man faces charges after police say he attempted to kidnap a woman.

Aaron Cordero-Montero, 23, of Norristown tried to pull a woman into his SUV on Jan. 9 outside the Collegeville Movie Tavern, police told The Times Herald. Cordero-Montero knew the victim, and told police he wanted to take her to New Jersey, The Times Herald said.

Cordero-Montero faces charges of criminal attempt to kidnap; conspiracy; false imprisonment; terroristic threats; disorderly conduct; harassment and simple assault, The Times Herald said. He is being held at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility in lieu of $20,000.
