Norristown Planning Commission Meets Tonight to Consider Mural Location

The planning commission will consider applications for subdivision and land development and conditional use.

Norristown Planning Commission meets tonight at 7 p.m. at Norristown Municipal Hall, 235 East Airy Street, to consider applications from Joel Sandoval, of Oak and Astor LLC, and Joan Reilly, from the Philadelphia Mural Arts Program.

Sandoval is requesting subdivision and land development approval to consolidate four parcels at 728 Astor Street and 301 West Oak Street into one. He plans to convert a vacant industrial building at that location into a retail grocery store and a restaurant with incidental storage space in the UDO II Zoning District.

Reilly is seeking conditional use approval from Norristown Municipal Council to allow for the in the T-C Town Center Zoning District. The property is owned by Philip W. Schettone.
