Norristown Woman Arraigned for Causing Accident on 422

The woman allegedly grabbed the steering wheel during a domestic dispute.

According to The Sanatoga Post, a 34-year-old Norristown woman was arraigned in Lower Pottsgrove on Monday, Jan 2, for allegedly causing a one-car accident in the westbound lane of U.S. Route 422 on Sunday, Jan. 1.

According to the report, the crash occured around 2:45 p.m. on Sunday when the defendent allegedly grabbed the steering wheel during what police referred to as a "domestic [dispute]" between the woman and the driver, 22-year-old Richard Bloundt of Pottstown.

The car reportedly veered off the road and crashed as a result of the struggle. Police told The Post neither passenger was injured.

The defendent is being charged with recklessly endangering another person, simple assault, public intoxication, and other traffic violations. Bloundt was reportedly cited for driving under suspension.
