Pa Lottery Looking for Local Quinto Winner

A media release issued by the Pennsylvania Lottery says the commission is looking for winning ticket holder in our area who has yet to claim their winnings. And time is running out.

According to the lottery commission, the winning Quinto ticket matched all five numbers in the order they were drawn (1-1-2-9-3) for a top prize of $50,000, less federal withholding. It was sold at Smokings, 2894 DeKalb Pike in East Norriton, on May 21, 2011.

The ticket and prize will expire one year from the dates of the drawings. That means the ticket holder has 11 days left to claim their winnings.

"We don't want these two winners to miss out on their prizes," said Lottery Executive Director Todd Rucci. "We encourage our players in Montgomery and Beaver counties to check any tickets they may still have from last year." (There's also an enclaimed Cash 5 ticket worth $62,500 from the May 30, 2011, drawing that was sold in Beaver County)

If you're the lucky ticket holder, the lottery says you should sign the back of the ticket and call them at 717-702-8146, You also need to file a claim at Pennsylvania Lottery headquarters in Middletown, Dauphin County, or at any of Lottery's seven area offices. Claims can be filed Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., and from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. at area offices.

According to the Pennsylvania Lottery, unclaimed, expired lottery prizes remain in the Lottery Fund and are used to support programs benefiting older Pennsylvanians. Last fiscal year, the Pennsylvania Lottery contributed more than $51 million to programs that benefited older residents of Montgomery County and more than $17.3 million to programs serving Beaver County's older residents.
