Plymouth Country Club to Host Golf Outing for Norristown Area Education Foundation

Norristown, PA – There is still time to play golf for a great local cause! The Norristown Area Education Foundation’s Eighth Annual Golf Outing will be held on Monday, July 15, 2013 at the Plymouth Country Club, 888 Plymouth Road, Plymouth Meeting. Join us and enjoy a great day on the links for a wonderful cause. All funds raised stay right here in the Norristown Area School District.

“The Norristown Area Education Foundation is so thankful for all the support we receive,” said Thomas Grasso, Jr., Chair of the NAEF Board of Directors. “We are raising funds for innovative programs for the students of the Norristown Area School District while improving our golf game at the same time!”

The Norristown Area Education Foundation provides independent financial funding to support challenging and enriching innovations that will maximize the learning potential of all students in the Norristown Area School District. NAEF raises money to fund state-of-the-art programs throughout the Norristown Area School District, like robotics, Smart Boards in every classroom and an iMac Lab. The Foundation also administers a mini grants program for teachers throughout the District. Recently, NAEF gave over $94,000 in grants to the Norristown Area School District in support of innovative programs and projects like SMART Boards, audio and video equipment and Robotics support.

The day begins with registration 8:00 AM and then breakfast is served! At 9:00 AM we will have a shotgun start and then you can beat your personal best on the course. Skills contests, including a putting contest, will also take place. Then at 1:30 PM enjoy a lunch complete with an open bar! All player packages include cart and green fees, pre golf breakfast, on course refreshments, luncheon with open bar, gifts, awards and prizes. The best part is that all funds raised stay right here in the Norristown Area School District!

Corporate sponsors are also needed to support the Golf Outing. Sponsorship levels range from Major Corporate Sponsor for $5,000 to a Hole Sponsorship for $325. You can even sponsor a Golf Cart for a $100 donation. All money donated is tax deductible and goes directly to the programs of NAEF that support the students and teachers of the Norristown Area School District. 

“This is the most successful fundraiser we have each year, “said Dan Delaney, Chair of the Golf Outing Committee. “Our goal is to have 74 golfers on the course, helping us support the students and teachers of the School District. We hope Norristown Area School District alumni, as well as retired teachers and coaches will come out and support NAEF.”
