Police Nab Alleged Heroin Dealer

According to , police have arrested Brandon Redding, 26, of Norristown on drug trafficking and possession charges.

Police encountered Redding Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 10, in Crawford Park along the banks of the Schuylkill. Officers approached Redding and reportedly took him into custody for drinking alcohol, but a search of his person revealed 19 packets of what tested positive for heroin. Redding allegedly claimed the drugs were for personal use, but according to police, he had no needles or any other paraphernalia associated with heroin use on his person.

Redding is currently being held on $20,000 bail.
