Police Searching the Streets for Missing Norristown Man

Residents are seeing increased police presence on the streets of Norristown Friday morning, as officers scour the area for signs of John Smith, the 73-year-old man who went missing from his home in the 500 block of Arch Street early Thursday morning.

Smith, who suffers from Alzheimer’s was last seen near his home at around 7 a.m. on Thursday morning and police have continued to search for him through the night.

Smith is described as 6’ tall, 180 lbs. with salt and pepper hair. He was last seen wearing a black fleece sweatshirt and black pants. Smith usually wears eyeglasses.
