Stars Of HBO's 'Task' Meet Elmwood Zoo's Noah The Eagle
Mark Ruffalo and Tom Pelphrey, who bring the Philly burbs to life in the "Mare of Easttown" sequel, are bird fans.
NORRISTOWN, PA — Eagles were front and center for the stars of HBO's "Task" during the Birds recent game against the Los Angeles Rams at Lincoln Financial Field.
One eagle specifically: Noah, the bald eagle from Norristown's Elmwood Park Zoo who serves as the live mascot of the Super Bowl champions.
Mark Ruffalo and Tom Pelphrey, who bring the Philly burbs to life in the new HBO show, made a "special request" to meet Noah during the game, Elmwood officials said.

Noah's handlers were happy to oblige.
"Our educators had a blast chatting with Mark and Tom about Noah, eagle conservation, and Elmwood Park Zoo," the zoo shared. "Thanks to both of them for taking the time out of their busy schedules to say hello and learn about our amazing ambassadors."

While neither actor is from the Philly area proper, Pelphrey grew up in Howell, New Jersey and attended Rutgers. Ruffalo wore a Brian Dawkins jersey to the game, and both appeared on the field before the Birds big comeback victory over the Rams.
The fictional world of "Task," which serves as a sequel to "Mare of Easttown," is primarily in Delaware County, though it was filmed throughout the greater Philadelphia area and it's creator, Berwyn native Brad Inglesby, has repeatedly said it's a "suburban" story. Only fitting, then, that the Eagles suburban mascot should draw their attention.
Noah, a 24-year-old rescue eagle, has been the official mascot of the Eagles since 2013.
