State Rep. Hosts Fundraiser for Police Memorial Fund
Rep. Mike Gerber's fundraiser collected over $14,000 for the Montgomery County Police Officers Memorial Fund.

According to a release issued by State representative Mike Gerber's office, Gerber, rep for our 148th District neighbors, hosted his fourth annual St. Patrick’s Day benefit in support of the Montgomery County Police Officers Memorial Fund on Saturday, March 10, following the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Conshohocken. The event raised more than $14,000, surpassing last year’s event.
The Montgomery County Police Officers Memorial Fund, created in 1993, raises money to maintain the memorial that bears the names of Montgomery County police officers who lost their lives in the line of duty. The fund also pays for an annual ceremony and luncheon where fallen officers are remembered and their families are honored.
Proceeds from Gerber’s events have more than covered the annual maintenance costs and the expenses associated with the annual ceremony and luncheon. Gerber and the Montgomery County Police Officers Memorial Fund Board are working towards creating an endowment that will generate enough investment income to cover all of the annual costs.

"My staff, led by Dominic Folino, and I enjoy working with the Memorial Fund Board and believe strongly in their mission to honor fallen officers and their families," Gerber said. "I look forward to growing this event each year and raising even more money so we can continue this tradition."
“This event has grown each year and is one of our main source of revenue," said Joe Byrnes, president of the fund. "Mike Gerber is a true advocate for the FOP and without Mike and his staff the fund would not be in the position it is today.”
