Stony Creek Clean-Up Day Scheduled for Saturday

Norristown-area fishing aficionados, the Stony Creek Anglers, are holding their 26th annual clean-up day from 8 a.m. to noon this Saturday. Anglers and volunteers will meet at the Elmwood Park Bocce Court to organize the effort, dedicated this year to the memory of Angler David Ryan Bickerdyke, who passed away in September 2011.

The Anglers will provide gloves and trash bags and donuts and coffee for volunteers will be made available courtesy of Starbucks. The municipality of Norristown and Elmwood Park Zoo will be providing trucks and drivers and Norristown's Maenner-Chor Club will be making lunch for everyone.
