Theatre Horizon Gets $25k Grant from PNC
The grant will provide 300 free tickets for Norristown residents to attend a performance – including "How I Learned to Drive," the first production at Theatre Horizon's new home in downtown Norristown.

According to The Times Herald, the PNC Foundation will be sponsoring the grand opening season of Theatre Horizon's new 120-seat theater in the old Bell Telephone Building at 401 DeKalb Street with a $25,000 PNC Arts Alive grant.
The grant will mean 300 free tickets will be made available to Norristown residents for any of the performances in the 2012-13 season, including Theatre Horizon's production of Paula Vogel's opening April 5.
“Art should be accessible to everyone and our sponsorship of Theatre Horizon’s season will give Norristown residents the opportunity to attend critically acclaimed live theatre right in their neighborhood,” Bill Mills, regional president of PNC for Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey told The Herald. “We know that Theatre Horizon’s new home will also be an economic driver for Norristown, creating jobs, boosting visits by area residents and generating revenue.”

Theatre Horizon co-founder Erin Reilly echoed Mills' prediction for what her organization could bring to Norristown.
“Our new theater will become an anchor venue on Arts Hill, Norristown’s new arts district," Reilly told The Herald. "The PNC Arts Alive grant will help us ensure that people from a wide range of backgrounds will be able to enjoy our exciting, top-quality productions in our grand opening season.”
