Thousands of Dollars Stolen from Community Art Center

ACPPA Community Art Center's summer programming is in jeopardy after nearly $3,000 was stolen from the center's Paypal account last week.

Summer programs provided by the ACPPA Community Art Center may be in jeopardy, after someone hacked the center's Paypal account last week, stealing nearly $3,000.

According to a press release from ACPPA Executive Director Amy Grebe, the money was given to the non-profit community art center by donors and parents to support the children of Norristown through summer camps and art making classes. Without the funding, the art center will be unable to pay teachers and purchase supplies.

"As a result of the theft, summer programming is in jeopardy," said Grebe. "Everyone at the art center is working hard to reclaim these dollars and are determined that no child will be affected by theft."
