Vereb Tells W. Norriton Residents: 'No Roundabout' at Whitehall and Sterigere

State Rep. Mike Vereb had a meeting with West Norriton commissioners and a handful of residents to discuss options for the intersection.

According to , State Rep. Mike Vereb (R-150), recetly held a public meeting at with West Norriton commissioners Ralph Panzulllo, Brian Kennedy and about 16 local residents to discuss proposals for the intersection at Whitehall Road and Sterigere Street.

“There will be no roundabout at that intersection," Vereb told attendees according to the Herald. "That is a state road and a state-owned park. We have an issue and a problem there."

According to The Herald, Vereb blamed the roundabout proposal – hotly contested by neighbors in the immediate area because the plan would involve possibly taking some property from residents by eminent domain – on county planners who promoted the idea.
