Verizon Outage In Norristown Area
Some residents may not be able to use landlines to call 911, police said.
NORRISTOWN, PA — A Verizon outage is impacting customers throughout the greater Norristown area, authorities said on Thursday morning.
Local residents who have Verizon may not be able to dial 911 from landline phones, the Norristown and Upper Merion police departments shared in similar warnings.
Calling 911 from a cell phone will still work fine, police said.
