Viewfinder: Patch Gets Even Greener
The Montco Patch editors head to the forest to donate their time and rescue some trees.
If you noticed that Norristown Patch seemed a little light on the content side yesterday, you were right. I apologize, but I promise it was for a good cause.
I and the rest of the Montgomery County area Patch editors got up bright and early yesterday morning and traipsed deep into Pennypack Ecologic Preserve in Huntingdon Valley as part of Patch's "Give Five" volunteer initiative. You may remember reading about our last adventure along Ridge Pike back in April.
We were there to help the staff rescue trees that had been put in danger as a result of recent flooding near the creeks that run throught the park. Upper Moreland-Willow Grove Patch editor Gerry Dungan will have a full report on our day soon, but I thought you might like to see what we got up to yesterday while we weren't updating our sites.
