Weekend SEPTA Shuttle Busing and Street Closures in Norristown
Upgrades to the rail crossings in Norristown this weekend mean shuttle bus service for riders.

According to a SEPTA, a railroad grade crossing renewal project on the Manayunk/Norristown Regional Rail line will result in weekend shuttle bus service between the Norristown Transportation Center (NTC) and the Elm Street station the weekend of Oct. 29-30.
Passengers traveling to Philadelphia will board shuttle buses at the Elm Street and Main Street stations 10 minutes before the scheduled train time. Buses will travel to NTC, where passengers will transfer to Regional Rail trains to complete their trips.
Trains to Philadelphia will operate normally from NTC and serve all stations inbound to Center City. Passengers traveling from Elm and Main Street stations to NTC should add 10 minutes to their normal commute times. Trains from Philadelphia will operate normally to NTC. Passengers traveling beyond NTC will transfer to shuttle buses for service to the Main Street and Elm Street stations. Passengers should add up to 10 additional minutes to their travel time.

Due to the street closure, the outbound Main Street shuttle bus stop will be Main and Cherry streets. The grade crossing construction will require the closing of Main Street between Markley and Astor streets from 9am on Friday, Oct. 28, through 5pm on Monday, Oct. 31. Marshall Street will also be closed to traffic from 10pm on Friday, Oct. 28 through 10am on Saturday, Oct. 29, and again from 10pm on Saturday, Oct. 29 through 10am on Sunday, Oct. 30. SEPTA bus routes 91 and 93 will be detoured around the construction sites.
