Welcome to Moms' Talk
Norristown Patch invites you and your friends to help build a community of support for mothers and their families right here in your community
Moms' Talk is a new feature on Norristown Patch that is part of our new initiative to reach out to moms and families. We're inviting you and your friends to help build a community of support for mothers and their families right here in your community.
Each week in Moms' Talk, our Moms' Council of experts and smart moms take your questions, give advice and share solutions.
Moms, dads, grandparents and the diverse families who make up our community will have a new resource for questions about local neighborhood schools, the best pediatricians, finding the best day cares, and the thousands of other issues that arise while raising children.

Moms Talk will also be the place to drop in for a talk about the latest parenting hot topic. Do you know of local moms raising their children Tiger Mother-style? Is it the best way? Where can we get information on local flu shot clinics for children? How can we help our children's schools weather their budget cutbacks?
So grab a cup of coffee and settle in as we start the conversation today with a question from Terri S., of Montgomery County. Terri asked: “I really need some help. My child has had three colds this winter, each with an accompanying fever. I really need to be able to call in his allergy medication refills and pick up his prescriptions, but with my work hours, I can’t often make it during open hours at a pharmacy. Do you know anywhere around here that has a 24-hour pharmacy? I’m willing to drive a little. What can I do in this situation?”
