West Conshy Company Sponsors Environmental Field Trip For Whitehall Students
ASTM International empployees accompanied Whitehall students on a trip to the Riverbend Environmental Education Center in Gladwyne Today.

According to a release issued by ASTM International, the West Conshohocken-based company sponsored a field trip for third-graders from Whitehall Elementary on Thursday, May 3. The students travelled to Woodmont, a private estate near Riverbend Environmental Education Center in Gladwyne. The educational class trip featured a Watershed lesson and model as well as activities in Woodmont’s ponds and streams.
ASTM International sponsors several field trips a year to Riverbend for local elementary schools in the Norristown, Colonial and Upper Merion school districts. The field trips are part of the children’s classroom science and environment lessons. Riverbend’s mission is to "teach environmental principles to children in Southeastern Pennsylvania through a direct connection with nature, inspiring respect for our natural world and action as aware, responsible and caring citizens."
