Woman Fights Off Mugger with Cup of Tea
A King of Prussia Wawa customer was leaving the store with her morning tea when she was accosted by a man who demanded her wallet.
According to Main Line Media, a potential robbery victim was able to fight off her mugger with a cup of hot tea.
The woman was leaving the Wawa on Henderson Road early Thursday morning, March 7, when she was reportedly approached by a man who demanded she give him her wallet. The woman refused and threw the cup of hot tea she was carrying in his face to fend him off.
Officers were actually nearby in a parked SWAT truck and spotted the jilted mugger walking away from the store towards McDonald's. They apprehended the unidentified man, who is being charged with robbery and other related crimes.
