Woman Hit By Car Crossing Main Street

The 26-year-old Norristown woman was flown to a Philadelphia hospital for treatment.

According to The Times Herald, an unidentified 26-year-old Norristown woman was flown by medevac to a Philadelphia hospital after being struck by a car while trying to cross West Main Street shortly before 7 a.m. Tuesday morning.

According to police reports, the woman was crossing mid-block between George Street and Haws Avenue when the car hit her and reportedly launching her into the air. The driver of the vehicle stopped to help the victim, who was reportedly bleeding from a head wound, but conscious and alert.

The woman's husband told The Herald that he was able to talk with her at the hospital and she did not break any bones, but doctor's were still evaluating her condition.
