Woman Returns From Work to Burglarized Home, Police Say

A Norristown woman told police that she returned from work to find missing items and hundreds of dollars in cash, police say.

A Norristown woman left for work in the morning and returned in the afternoon to find a game system, hundreds of dollars, and more missing when she returned to her home in the 600 block of East Marshall Street on Thursday, according to police.

The woman told police that she left for work that morning and returned around 2:45 p.m. to find that her apartment had been burglarized, according to a Norristown police report.

The back door had been kicked in, and the woman told police that an Xbox game system was missing from a common space area, as well as several games, say police. The woman told police that jewelry and $500 in cash were missing from a bedroom, as well, according to the report.
