Business Looks to Build Personal Care Facility in Forks

The former Hanson Aggregates would be converted if application is approved.

A Whitehall business is looking to convert a former office building along Sullivan Trail into a personal care facility.

Brookside Commercial Construction has submitted an application to Forks Township to convert the former Hanson Aggregates building into a personal care or group home facility. The business will likely be used for patients suffering from conditions like Alzheimer’s.

A conditional use hearing has yet to be scheduled. Last week, township Supervisors said some of the paperwork submitted by Brookside needed to be clarified.
