EAHS Graduation Date To Be Announced

The official graduation date for students at Easton Area High School remains in limbo as revisions to the 2010-11 schools calendar are under way. 
 
On Tuesday, Board of Education members were notified that school officials are in the final steps of determining the graduation date . A tentative graduation date has been set but will not be formally announced until March 3. 
 
One possible date could be June 17, which would make up for the eight unplanned snow days missed during this school year. According to the district calendar, the last day of school is June 7. 
But the final say is up to the board. The district does not add snow days into the school calendar year. Instead, board officials and the superintendent collaborate and decide if make-up days will be added at the end of the school year or if changes will be made to half-days and days originally slated as “off."
