First Star Bank Holds Grand Opening Celebration

Magicians, music and giveaways

First Star Bank, a Bethlehem-based institution, has opened its doors locally and is hosting a grand opening today from 9am to 2pm at its new location at the Palmer Park Mall.

Other than featuring its myriad of bank services, today’s event is expected to have a magician, face painting, food, music courtesy of local radio station 99.9 “The Hawk” and even a gas grill raffle giveaway.

Earlier this week, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held for the new location. Bank representatives, township officials, members of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce and even employees from neighboring TD Bank were all on hand. The bank has been open since February.

On April 4, bank representatives went before the township Zoning Hearing Board. The bank wants to construct an electronic message board on the lot. The signage is expected to exceed 10 feet in height -- the maximum allowable under township ordinances. A continuance of the hearing has been scheduled for May 3.
