Five Things This Week

Here’s a list of five things to look out for this week in Palmer and Forks townships:

1. It’s National Library Week. The Palmer Memorial Branch, located at 1 Weller Place, will celebrate all week long with events and giveaways.
2. The Palmer Township Board of Supervisors will meet tonight at 7:30pm in the library meeting room, located at 1 Weller Place.
3. On Wednesday, there will be a special Easton Area School District Board of Education meeting. The meeting has been set for 6:30pm in the administrative building located at 1801 Bushkill Drive, Forks Township. The board is set to vote on the proposed 2011-2012 school budget.
4. The Forks Township Planning Commission will meet 7pm Thursday in the municipal building located at 1606 Sullivan Trail.
5. The Great American Clean-up Pennsylvania has been set for Saturday and Forks Township will be cleaning up the township starting at 10am. Volunteers for the event can sign up at the community center at 9:30am. A picnic has been scheduled following the two-hour cleanup.
