Flames Rip Through Apartment Building in Palmer

Palmer Fire Department put out a fire that destroyed a six-unit apartment building near Palmer Park Mall at 2704 Nazareth Road yesterday morning.

Reports indicate there was a heavy fire on the first floor extending with flames extending up and out the roof. No one was injured.

The Express-Times reports that a postal worker noticed smoke coming from the building before 7 a.m. and pounded  doors to wake up the residents.
