Forks Township Manager Resigns
Forks supervisors have hired the Meyner Center at Lafayette College to find a new township manager.

, Forks Township manager for about five years, will resign at the end of the year.
Schnaedter gave notice to the two weeks ago, he said, and in executive session at last night’s board meeting, supervisors accepted the resignation and contracted with Lafayette College to find a replacement.
“What an enjoyable experience this has been,” Schnaedter said today. “The facilities in the township are second to none, and these are the most dedicated and professional group of people that I’ve worked with in my entire career.”

Schnaedter lives in Oaks, Montgomery County, but stays in an apartment five days a week to work in Forks. That situation, he said, has gotten a little tiring so he's pursuing other opportunities.
The township will pay the Meyner Center at Lafayette College $75 an hour for help to recruit a new manager with a cap on the fees set at $5,000.

According to the college’s website, the Meyner Center studies state and local government, and also acts as headhunters for municipalities.
Schnaedter said the hiring process will begin quickly, but anticipates that the position will not be filled until February or March of the new year.
