Free Yard Waste Dropoff at Palmer Center this Weekend
Last week 693 people dropped off tree limbs and yard waste at the Palmer Township facility.

will again open its yard waste facility for free dropoff of tree limbs and yard debris leftover from the October snowstorm.
Public Works Director Thomas Adams said the township is still so busy with curbside collection of storm debris that its regular leaf collection is behind schedule.
To help, t agreed to open the yard waste center this weekend and allow residents to drop off their tree limbs for free. Palmer had opened the center last week, too, and got 693 dropoffs, according to Township Manager Christoper Christman.

The center on Berks Street (off Freemansburg Avenue across for Suburban EMS) will be open Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The township has also waived its usual dumping fees for those days.
Yard waste will continue to be this week on normal pickup days.

Pickups are limited to 3 ft. x 3 ft. x 2 ft. Non-bundled waste must be in brown paper bags.
The Regular Fee for Using the Drop off Facility:
- Car trunk full - $5
- Pickup or small utility trailer - $10
- Stake body truck - $30
- Small dump truck (up to Class 4 window sticker) - $50
- No large dump trucks allowed.
