Hazardous Weather Coming for Tonight's Commute

Strong winds during the evening commute could bring gusts up to 45 mph.

The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory from 5 p.m. today until 4 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25.

Winds will be from the west at 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.

Strong winds can knock down tree limbs and even some weak trees. Isolated power outages may occur.

The winds will make it difficult to drive high profile vehicle, such as trucks, especially on bridges and elevated roads.

According to the 's forecast: "Showers will continue this morning and then a break for a while around noon through this evening. Round two comes this evening with the cold front passage, which will be showers and possibly a thunderstorm with increasingly windy conditions."
