Minimal Flooding Reported in Palmer and Forks townships
Creek waters creep closer to bridges and roads as rain pummels the area.
Both Palmer and Forks townships managed to tread safely through the rising waters from Thursday's heavy rains.
In Forks, two roads were reportedly closed due to excessive flooding: Kesslersville Road between Uhler Road and Sullivan Trail and Zucksville Road between Bushkill Drive and Sullivan Trail. According to Forks Township Zoning Officer and Emergency Management Coordinator Tim Weis, Zucksville Road was expected to be reopened by noon today. Kesslersville Road will remain closed. No power outages were reported.
In neighboring Palmer Township, only one stretch of road was reportedly closed due to flooding -- Lehigh Drive, just off of S. 25th Street. There were no power outages reported, according to township Emergency Management Director and Fire Commissioner Delmar Grube.
